The female protagonist, Su Lizhen, is nearly 50 years old and a laid-off worker. Emotionally and financially drained by her son’s family, who constantly belittle her, she decides to try her luck on a matchmaking show. However, things take a turn when she is mistaken for a scammer and thrown off the stage. Devastated and contemplating suicide, she is unexpectedly saved by Qiu Shusen, the CEO, who is secretly participating in the show. The two quickly marry in a flash marriage. Despite the quick decision, Su Lizhen soon faces a series of challenges: mockery and harassment from old classmates, misunderstandings, and unreasonable demands from her son's family. At one point, her son even forces her to appear on a TV show for a public confrontation. Yet, with the support of her new husband, CEO Qiu Shusen, she is able to face and overcome each crisis. Through it all, she eventually discovers her long-lost daughter, who has been missing for 20 years, bringing the story full circle.
